FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How does it work?

Healing is a natural therapy where healing energy is channelled by the healer through to the patient. Einstein's theory E=mc2 (E is energy, m is mass, c is the speed of light) says that everything is made of energy, including us. The heavier and more solid something is, the more energy it is made up of. When our energy is unbalanced or depleted (resulting in illness or stress) the healer acts as a gentle set of jump leads and the energy is then directed by the patient's inner wisdom to where it is most needed. The same is true when we eat food - the goodness goes to where it is most needed without us having to think about it. For this reason, the healer does not need to know your problem for healing to take place, but you can feel free to talk about it if you wish.

Does it work?

Anything from just one session up to a series of 5/6 regular sessions would be sufficient to convince you beyond doubt that improvements have occurred since your first visit. You might also feel lighter and brighter, more positive in attitude and notice happy coincidences occurring in your life. Local success stories include patients who have recovered successfully from physical ailments, depression and stress. See Case Histories for more information.

How many sessions will I need?

Some people have had long-standing conditions that have resolved in just a few sessions whereas others have taken 2 or 3 months. The more you do for yourself in between sessions, the quicker the effects - we will give you a list of suggestions when you come for your first visit.

What will happen on my first appointment?

A healer will explain to you what to expect and answer any questions that you may have. Then you simply sit in a chair or lie on a couch in relaxing surroundings whilst the healer works around you, either with a light touch or none at all - it is your choice. It is quite normal to feel tingling, heat, coolness or even discomfort coming to the surface to be released as the healing energy works. Or you might feel nothing at all - it makes no difference to the outcome. Your job is to relax as much as you can during the session and allow it all to happen. The majority of our patients feel very relaxed afterwards, which is an outward sign of inner improvement.

How much does it cost?

Our healers donate their time and we charge nothing. If you have nothing, give nothing. However, we have overheads to pay and would suggest and welcome a minimum of £6 in the donation box provided.

What if I'm already under the doctor or in hospital?

Healing works just as well alongside traditional medication and treatment. In fact, a healing session before surgery is recommended to help pre-op nerves as well as recovery afterwards. Please call us if you would like to receive healing whilst in hospital.

Do I need faith?

It isn't necessary to believe in healing for it to work, but a positive attitude is always helpful.

Can it do any harm?

Healing can never do harm. On the rare occasion, someone might feel worse for as much as a few days before improving, but this is part of the healing process where deep stress is being released. If this happens, rest up and relax to allow the process to work.

How can healing be of any value to someone who is dying?

The fear of death is so powerful in some people that they cling on to life rather than face the unknown, prolonging their own suffering unnecessarily. Also, people do not want to leave their family and friends, some feeling that their loved ones will not manage without them. Healing helps dissolve these fears, which then gives room for a philosophical attitude to naturally develop regarding the inevitable conclusion of our lives and how our loved ones will be affected.

What kind of success have you had at Aldridge?

See "Case Histories" page for examples of successful cases. Other experiences include a patient who became clear of glandular fever after just 3 sessions and hasn't needed her inhaler since. Several cancer sufferers are now clear and there are many other success stories, too.
